but okay i'm gonna say it works because i have the power to do so, and so after lance follows suit and lets his own thoughts drift back to the ~lagoon that started it all~ they will begin to feel the environment around them shift. sorta like a light breeze, except of really really cold wind, and in the next second —
they'll find themselves submerged in the lagoon itself, already wearing swim trunks, because someone's aim was a little off. ]
[He blinks his eyes open wide and -- and..it worked? Because he kicked the console thing? He's staring at Lance for a solid five seconds before he's sort of freaking out, moving to an edge of the lagoon to properly secure himself.]
--Is this real?!
[Dumb question, but it's how all of his thoughts drew together. The initial shock fades into something more triumphant -- happy. A chuckle belatedly follows his query.]
This is so weird.
[Not any weirder than a ceiling pool, however, or mind-teleporting.]
[ the smile lance flashes keith is bright, almost deliriously happy. not necessarily because it worked, but because it manage to draw a laugh out of him.
a moment later his grin shifts into something smug, chest puffing out. ]
Told ya.
[ now he's gonna let out his own little laugh, flopping onto his back in the water, letting it lazily spin him around. ]
[It's his natural desire to survive that has him moving away from Lance and clinging to the side of the lagoon. He wasn't expecting to be thrust into it so...suddenly. That's so dangerous. How many people have died doing this...?!]
You didn't think it was gonna work!
[Louder than necessary, even with the space between them. Accident.]
[ he eventually flips over so he can paddle towards the other. where he is now allows lance to pin him up against the rocks, just like they had that first time. how perfect. ]
[stop talking like a pro when u didn't even know how to work it....
In any case, he's effectively pinned against the rocks, which isn't so bad. He'll even offer a leg, winding it around Lance's outer thigh.
And not without the slightest chuckle.]
It feels the-- [Wait, that's the moodkill option. It's been less than twenty minutes is also a moodkill. A hand settles flatly on his chest, a thumb flexing over his heart.] It feels nice.
[There. Now, if only they'd gotten to keep their necklaces.]
[ stop trying to distract me from ur crude disco chats with this cuteness...
anyway lance is pretty easily distracted, since that had really been more a passing thought anyway. he's pretty content with his sharktooth necklace, and he can't really fathom keith wanting to wear jewelry, of all things, but maybe later, when he thinks of it more, he can try to come up with other things they could share together...
for right now, though, he's more than happy to encircle his arms around the other and draw their bodies closer, letting the warmer water soothe them. ]
[The only crude thing on disco is your overpriced aprons.
He's thinking of forging their own rings out of scrap metal; he's not sure how Lance'd feel about it though. He's never...really come off as one for frills. Only with skincare. Heck, he's still celebrating that shark tooth necklace of his.]
Yeah, me too.
[Were this not a sentimental moment, he'd splash him for pinning him to this dumb rock thing.]

[ ???? ]
Feels just like the real thing, right?

Also, this marks the first time he's been startled since the castleship was haunted by a ghoast.]
Yeah -- it doesn't make any sense.
[But it's fine, just bizarre. Maybe they should've thought up some pool toys for funsies...]

Yeah. Same.
[ he noses along the length of keith's cheek, leaning up to bury a deep breath against some temple hair. ]
We should get like. Rings or something. Or, ooh, tattoos!
no subject
Where are we gonna find rings?
[Maybe they can make them from hay, because Keith can't fathom a fancy jewelry store in Wyver? Oh..maybe he could...oh...gears turning...]
Let's worry about that later.
[Ahem. He'll lift his head to counter-nuzzle Lance's cheek, sighing contentedly.]

I'm glad we did this.
